Tabitha is a Clinical Psychology Registrar with experience in a range of complex and chronic mental health issues, working with children, adolescents and adults. She has worked in public and private mental health settings as well as with adolescents in schools. Tabitha has been trained in evidence based psychological assessments, diagnosis and therapies that are tailored to a person’s individual needs. She has a range of interests and provides treatment to people suffering from depression, anxiety, interpersonal and adjustment issues and trauma. Tabitha offers a collaborative, non-judgmental, and family inclusive approach that utilizes a client’s existing skills and strengths. Tabitha’s therapeutic approach incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing. She enjoys using play therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness and narrative therapy. She works using a strengths based approach with children and young persons and values the involvement of parents and families in the assessment and treatment process.
