Important Covid-19 Message
At DVCP, we are taking the utmost care in dealing with our clients during the COVID-19 virus crisis.
Our Practice remains open, with Clinicians working closely to deliver ongoing quality of care and support to client.
From 30 March to 30 September 2020 (inclusive), temporary MBS telehealth items have been made available. This means that all patients, whether you are accessing medicare eligible items, or paying privately, are able to access these appointments via a range of telehealth options. Please feel free to contact our reception if you need to clarify what this means for you.
There may also be the option of maintaining face-to-face therapy sessions if this is your preference, but it will be up to the individual clinician to determine whether this is a service that they can continue to provide for the foreseeable future.
Should you prefer to continue with face-to-face appointments, our office space allows for social distancing to be maintained at all times, and payment can be made via direct deposit to avoid the need for touching payment facilities.
On 30 March 2020 the new MBS COVID-19 Telehealth items were expanded to all patients and all providers. ‘Telehealth attendance’ can include either videoconferencing or phone attendance. This is a temporary six-month measure. Should the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) recommend an extension, it will be considered by the Government.
