Project Description
Clinical & Forensic Psychologist
Dr Lisa Forrester is the founder and Clinical Director of Diamond Valley Clinical Psychology, and has been working privately in the Diamond Valley area for over 15 years. She has had considerable experience assisting individuals with a variety of mental health issues, and also works part-time as a Senior Clinical Psychologist within the public mental health system.
Lisa enjoys working with both adults and adolescents, and is trained in a range of psychological interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. Through her training, she is able to draw upon strategies from various psychological approaches to support individuals in addressing mood related difficulties (such as depression and anxiety), interpersonal and behavioural problems (such as relationship issues, conflict resolution and behaviour change), improving confidence and self-esteem (including the development of assertiveness skills), as well as more complex psychiatric presentations. Additionally, Lisa has worked in the forensic psychiatric system for over 10 years, and is happy to provide support around legal and offending-based issues.
Lisa is also an endorsed supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for both Clinical and Forensic psychology, and as such is able to provide formal guidance and support to newly graduated psychologists.
